Aztec Dance Marathon featured on front page of San Diego Union Tribune

Since their inaugural year, San Diego State University’s Aztec Dance Marathon has been making waves in the Miracle Network Dance Marathon and San Diego communities.

In 2015, Aztec Dance Marathon was awarded Best New Dance Marathon by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals after raising more than $40,000 in just 43 days of fundraising.

In 2016, the Aztecs continued to raise the bar for Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs in Southern California by increasing their total to $84,140 – a total increase of 110% from the previous year.

This year, Aztec Dance Marathon continues to impress as they make their way towards their $101,000 goal for the February 24th event. During the full 15-hour event, students refrain from sitting to show their dedication to the families that Rady Children’s supports – they dance for the kids who can’t. For the third year in a row, California Coast Credit Union is proudly supporting the Aztecs in their efforts to raise funds for the kids at Rady Children’s.

This week, Aztec Dance Marathon’s Executive Director, Kendall McCreary was featured on the front page of the San Diego Union Tribune. Check out the story here:  http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/lifestyle/making-a-difference/92516275-132.html
