Spirit Halloween Raises Fun and Funds for Patients at Rady Children’s Hospital

Rady Children’s Hospital patients and their families had a spooktacular early Halloween party last week courtesy of Spirit Halloween and its team of costume fitters!

The event was part of Spirit Halloween’s annual Spirit of Children program, which raises funds for children’s hospitals across the U.S., including Rady Children’s Child Life department. The Child Life department consists of specialists who work to meet the many psycho-social needs of hospitalized children, their siblings and families. As the department is 100 percent dependent on philanthropy, the Spirit of Children program is a welcome treat (not trick) in facilitating children’s activities and department funding.

Since the program’s inception, Spirit Halloween has raised more than $37 million in cash and merchandise donations for Children’s Hospitals in the US and Canada. Last year, Spirit Halloween raised nearly $75,000 for Rady Children’s Hospital.
