Delta Air Lines Supports Rady Children’s Hospital with $50,000 Grant

Delta Air Lines, a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1997 recently expanded its support of Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego with a grant of $50,000 to fund important endeavors.

The first $25,000 will establish the Delta Air Lines Surgical Services Child Life Fund, which will support expanding the hours of Child Life Specialists within the Surgical Services department at Rady Children’s. Expanding this crucial service will ensure that more children receive pre-operative tours and education, as well as psychological preparation for surgery, helping to make the often scary process of surgery a little less intimidating for our young patients.

Additionally, Delta stepped up as the largest sponsor of the 2017 Rady Children’s Ice Rink at Liberty Station. The Ice Rink is an outdoor skating arena open to the public during the holiday season. All sponsorship dollars and donations from the rink support patient care and supportive programs at Rady Children’s Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, the largest pediatric cancer center in the region.
