Walmart Neighborhood Market Visits Rady Children’s

Associates from Walmart Neighborhood Markets throughout San Diego recently visited Rady Children’s Hospital. In addition to taking a tour of Rady Children’s, associates arrived with arms full of games, art supplies and toys for the kids at the hospital.

Local Walmart, Walmart Neighborhood Market and Sam’s Club locations are currently in the midst of a six-week campaign, collecting donations for Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. It is part of a national campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals which resulted in nearly $37 million for member hospitals across America in 2016.

In addition to asking customers for donations at the register, stores are hosting a variety of fundraising activities to help the kids at Rady Children’s through the Hospital’s Hope & Healing Fund. This program helps fund lifesaving technology and research, provides a safety net for children with little or no medical insurance and creates a healing environment designed to enrich the experience of patients and their families. With Walmart’s contributions to the fund, Rady Children’s is able to help fulfill the highest and greatest needs of the hospital and make a significant impact on the health of children in the community.
